How long does it take to activate my account once I have submitted my information?
You can expect to recieve an email with your account login information within 2 business day.
Who enters the properties?
After we have created your account, you will have access to your personal account control panel where you will use a simple step by step process to upload your listings.
How do I make changes to my advertisement?
To make changes to your advertisement simply login to your account control panel with the user-name and password provided during sign-up.
How often can I update my advertisement
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year via your account control panel.
What do I do if I forget my password?
Click on the forgot password link located on the seller login page, you will then be asked to submit the email address that was provided during sign up. The system will automatically email you your login password.
What do I do when I sell a property?
You have the ability from your account control panel to set the property status as sold, sale pending, under contract, or off market. You can also remove the sold property from the website which will free up a spot within your advertising package to list another Luxury Property.
General FAQ
Browser Compatibility
As is noted on the login screen, it is recommended that the Real Estate Manager be used with Mozilla's Firefox browser. The reason for this is that functionality of the site is greatly improved with Firefox's features, and it is on the whole a more secure browser than Internet Explorer.
An example of the improved functionality of Firefox is evident when you hit the "Back" button to navigate to the page you visited before the current page. In Internet Explorer, you will simply see a "Page Has Expired" notice, and the data you had inserted may be lost. Firefox, however, will re-send the data for you, prompting you beforehand to see if this is acceptable.
Be careful, however, with this feature, because it can sometimes lead to duplicate entries in the database after re-posting an insert command (such as in the last step of the "Add a Listing" wizard).
JavaScript Notes
In order for the Real Estate Manager to function fully, JavaScript must be enabled in your browser. If it is not, you can enable it by doing the following:
In the Firefox browser:
- Go to "Tools > Options..."
- Click on "Web Features".
- Click "Enable JavaScript" to put a checkmark into the box and click "OK".
In Internet Explorer:
- Go to "Tools > Internet Options..."
- Click on the "Security" tab.
- Click the "Custom Level..." button.
- Scroll down to the heading titled "Scripting".
- Under "Active Scripting", click "Enable".
- Click "OK", "OK" again at the prompt, then "OK" again to finish and close the primary Internet Options window.
You have now enabled JavaScript and can use the advanced features of the Real Estate Manager, such as these tool tips and agent notes.
Listings FAQ
Acreage
Number of acres the property covers. Can be a decimal number (e.g., "2.73").
Address
Street address of the listing (e.g., "245 Edge Lane").
Agency ID
Enter an ID specific to your brokerage, or any alphanumeric value you choose to identify this listing, such as "BR-044".
City
The city the listing is located in (e.g., "Gaithersburg").
Community Features
Features of the community, such as hiking, camping, schools, a sports stadium, etc. To manage these features, click on "Listing Features" above (requires necessary privileges).
Country
Select the country your listing is located in. If you have proper privileges, you can edit the countries served under the "Settings" tab above.
County
The county your listing is located in (e.g., "Orange")
Featured Priority
Determine whether the listing will be shown in featured areas, such as on the front page and in boxes that appear around the site.
The number selected here will determine the listings's status and precedence as a featured listing. "1" marks the listing to be shown most often, "5" to be shown least often.
If 0, the listing will not be shown in featured areas.
Garage Space
Number of cars the garage is designed for. Can be a decimal number (e.g., "2.5").
General Notes
General notes on the listing to help remind the agent of behind-the-scenes details. These will not be shown to website visitors.
Home Features
Features of the home, like a pool, fireplace, gas heating, etc. To manage these features, click on "Listing Features" above (requires necessary privileges).
Listing Active Status
Choose whether this listing will be active (shown) or inactive (not shown).
Listing Status
Mark this listing with a custom status, such as "Available", "Sale Pending", or "Sold". If you have proper privileges, you can edit these statuses in the Settings panel.
Managing Agent
The agent showing and managing this property. You can choose yourself, or another agent.
MLS Number
The Multiple Listing Service number of the property. Must be numeric.
New Listing State
If the listing's state does not exist below, you can insert it here. Usually you will not need to use this feature.
Number of Bathrooms
The number of bathrooms the property has, if applicable. Can be a decimal number (e.g. "2.5").
Number of Bedrooms
The number of bedrooms the property has, if applicable. Must be a whole number (e.g. "4").
Number of Floors
The number of floors the building has. Must be a whole number (e.g., "2").
Price
The price of the listing. Must be a whole number without commas or a dollar sign (e.g., "850000").
School District
The school district the property is located in. Can be alphanumeric, with spaces (e.g., "Green Valley")
Square Footage
Number of square feet the building comprises. Must be a whole number (e.g. "5500").
State
Select the state your listing is located in.
Surveyed
The listing's status as surveyed or not surveyed.
Taxes
Yearly tax amount for this property. Must be a whole number, without commas or a dollar sign (e.g. "3200").
Title
A title for the listing, like "Cozy Log Home in the Woods". Some special characters are not allowed.
Type
The type of listing this will be, such as "Residential" or "Commercial".
Year Built
The year the building was constructed, if applicable. Must be a whole number (e.g. "1999").
ZIP/Postal Code
The postal code your listing is located in (e.g. "12222").
Zoning
Details on zoning regulations for this property. Some special characters are not allowed.
